Travel somewhere, look for signs, follow a trail.
Walk.
 
Find a slope, a group of trees, a line in the landscape.
Then open your sketchbook, take a brush and some ink.
Draw.
 
Find an interesting sketch.
Transfer the drawing to wood, start carving, add color.
Print.

Paul Tuttas is a visual artist and illustrator based in Prague, working primarily with traditional and experimental printmaking techniques. Nature is central to his work – he discovers and inter­prets landscapes through his images, capturing its textures, rhythms, and atmos­phere. His work spans visual art, artist’s books, and commissioned projects, including illus­tration and graphic design.
 
Born in 1996 in Ludwigslust, Germany, Paul Tuttas earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in Regensburg. In 2024, he completed a Master’s degree in Illustration and Graphics at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague.
