Limited colours that will not return
Some things make sense precisely because they do not last forever.
They appear, linger for a moment – and disappear.
These are the limited inks we would like to introduce through our new series, Ink of the Month.
Each month, we select one single ink. A colour created in a small batch, with a specific mood and a clear story. An ink that is not and will never be part of our permanent collection. Once it is gone, it remains only in memories, notes, and letters.
Why limited inks
Ink is not merely a writing medium. It is the rhythm of the hand, a moment of stillness, a quiet return to oneself. A limited ink deepens this experience – reminding us that writing is not about performance, but presence.
Every colour in the Ink of the Month series:
- exists only once,
- is created with a seasonal or emotional inspiration,
- is available for a limited time or until sold out.
Kakimori & INKSTAND
The inks originate from the Japanese brand Kakimori, which sees writing as a lifelong practice. Their inks are designed to age with you, to change, and to develop character through use.
The limited editions in the Ink of the Month series are:
- hand-mixed and bottled at the INKSTAND ink studio,
- part of the Colour specimen series,
- inspired by quiet, everyday moments – light, materials, and the passing of seasons.
What to expect each month
Each new ink will be introduced through a dedicated article, featuring:
- the story and inspiration behind the colour,
- insight into its creation,
- practical characteristics of the ink,
- a video presentation,
- and the opportunity to become part of a fleeting moment that will not repeat.
Ink of the Month is an invitation to slow down.
