Kuretake / ZIG Clean Color Real Brush series

ZIG CLEAN COLOR Real Brush is a brush type watercolor pen, so it can be used for a wide range of applications, such as illustration, design, lettering and manga. As it uses water based ink, you can blend it with water or mix it with other Real Brush colors or a blender.

How to use

Hold the pen at an angle to color large areas.

Hold the pen upright to draw a thin line.

Dampen with a water brush for shading.

A full range of gradients with a single pen. Lightly dampen the pen tip with water to obtain more shades of one color.

Blending colors

Apply one color first, then add another over it before it dries to create a color gradient.

Apply the ink of a darker color directly to the tip of a light colored pen to create a gradient while drawing with the light color.

Creating gradients and blending colors with a blender

You can create gradients using one color and a blender.

You can create gradients by applying a blender to the edge of two different colors.

Individual tapered bristles allow smooth writing.
