Workshop programme
During the workshop, we will work with ceramic clay, touch, emotions, and the symbolism of gold. Step by step, we will create our own mask – an inner face that does not necessarily correspond to the way we present ourselves outwardly.
Introduction and attunement
- introduction to the theme of the workshop
- a short attunement to your own inner process
- creating a safe and calm space for creativity
Creating a mask blindfolded
- working with ceramic clay through hands and touch
- the possibility to create without visual control and without judging the result
- leaving space for intuition, touch, and the natural guidance of the hands
The initial blindfolded work is not mandatory. Each participant can choose a way of creating in which they feel comfortable.
Working with emotions
- we will give shape to the feelings that arise during the creative process
- we will follow up on themes opened during the first Kintsugi workshop
- through malleable clay, we will search for the form of our inner face
Golden transformation
- we will not hide the grooves, scars, and imperfections in the mask
- we will highlight them with gold as a symbol of strength, acceptance, and transformation
- we will build on the principle of kintsugi – beauty does not have to emerge despite cracks, but precisely through them
Closing and sharing
- space for quietly completing your own work
- optional sharing of experiences from the creative process
- closing the workshop and returning back to yourself
Who will guide you through the workshop
Profile of lecturer Veronika
I studied Art Therapy at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. I mainly draw on projective intervention therapy, which has its roots in the psychodynamic approach. During the creative process, we focus on deeper layers of experience, often those that people are not yet fully aware of themselves.
