The Write & Draw range by Octopus offers pigment inks designed for fountain pens, dip pens and brushes. They are 100 % vegan, waterproof, lightfast and made entirely in Germany. They were developed in collaboration with artists and calligraphers seeking an ink suitable for everyday use while meeting professional standards.

The inks flow very well, do not clog nibs or pen feeds and work without problems when used regularly. Once dry, they form a waterproof layer that does not smudge and can be painted over with another ink or watercolor. Use them undiluted for full color or diluted with water for delicate watercolor effects. The 38 shades include rich colors as well as opaque white and delicate pastels.

After use, we recommend rinsing the pen thoroughly immediately. For easy cleaning, there is a special Octopus cleaner for pigment inks. Clean not only the pen but also the work surface after use: pigments readily leave marks; isopropanol or a specialized cleaner is suitable.

Tips:

• Always shake the bottle before using the ink with a brush or filling a pen.

• You can dilute the ink with water to achieve shading. However, use this method only with a brush or dip pen. Bear in mind that dilution reduces its archival properties.
