The workshop is suitable for complete beginners. It is not about speed or perfection – the focus is on enjoying the process, slowing down and discovering what a few precise folds can create. You will start with a larger practice model and gradually move on to miniature origami, where you will also use tweezers.

The workshop price includes

• all paper and materials needed to make the earrings
• use of tweezers and other necessary tools
• components for finishing the earrings, including surgical steel ear hooks

How the workshop works

The workshop takes place in a relaxed atmosphere and guides you step by step from the basic principles of origami to a finished pair of earrings.

Introduction to origami

• welcome and introduction to the workshop programme

• presentation of papers suitable for folding

First folding exercise

You will first practise the basic motif and individual folds on a larger format. This allows you to become familiar with the process before moving on to the miniature version.

Folding with tweezers

In the next part, you will apply the same principles on a smaller scale. Tweezers will help you guide the folds more precisely and work comfortably with tiny pieces of paper.

Making the earrings

You will fold your chosen motif from a piece of paper measuring approximately 5 × 5 cm. The finished origami will then be attached to jewellery pins and surgical steel hooks. At the end of the workshop, you will take home your own finished pair of origami earrings.

Who will guide you through the workshop

Instructor Zbyněk Roubal

Zbyněk Roubal has been folding origami for pleasure for many years. For him, paper offers a space to relax – with just a few folds, a simple square gradually turns into something completely new.

He especially enjoys miniature origami, and it is precisely this experience with small formats that he shares during the workshop. He will guide participants through the process step by step, help with the precision of individual folds and, above all, show how to enjoy the whole process.
