Pilot Capless Stripe – sculpted elegance without a cap

Pilot Capless Stripe is a luxurious interpretation of the iconic Japanese fountain pen with a retractable nib. Its brass body is decorated with pronounced longitudinal fluting, with each individual line shaped separately. The raised decoration emphasises the pen’s clean proportions while giving its surface a pleasantly tactile character.

Special polishing of the rhodium-plated brass body creates an unusual silvery pearlescent appearance between matte and gloss. The result is an elegant and refined writing instrument that retains the distinctive technical character of the Capless collection.

Instead of a traditional cap, the Capless uses a precise push-button mechanism. One press extends the 18-carat gold nib and makes the pen immediately ready to write. Once the nib is retracted, a small internal shutter closes the opening and helps protect it from drying out and prevent ink leakage.
