Taccia Aizen Urushi – Amamoya

Taccia Aizen Urushi is an exceptional limited-edition fountain pen that combines traditional Japanese urushi lacquering with poetic inspiration from natural landscapes. The name “Aizen” describes scenery veiled in mist, haze and low clouds – a typical mountain landscape in which mist gently flows from the peaks down into the valleys.

The Aizen collection includes three colour variants, each interpreting a different atmosphere of mist:

• Yuumoya – red
• Asamoya – orange
• Amamoya – black

The pen’s surface is created using the Kanshitsu (dry-urushi) technique, in which silver urushi lacquer is applied in a textured relief. The result is a slightly rough, matte surface, which feels deep, restrained and meditative. In the hand, the pen evokes calm, silence and the atmosphere of a veiled landscape.

Both the body and cap are made from ebonite, a traditional material valued for its lightness, strength and warm feel in the hand. The pen is fitted with a 14-karat gold nib, which provides smooth ink flow and a refined writing experience.
