    Taccia Ukiyo-e Inks

    The Taccia Ukiyo-e series is inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Ukiyo-e woodblock printing, which emerged during the Edo period (17th–19th centuries). These prints captured everyday life, nature, beauty and the fleeting moment – a philosophy Taccia brings to the world of fountain pen inks.

    Ukiyo-e Fountain pen ink

    The colours used in Ukiyo-e are subtle, layered and difficult to describe in a single word. Taccia Ukiyo-e inks sensitively reproduce these shades, allowing them to be rediscovered through writing and drawing. Each collection is named after a prominent Japanese artist – Hokusai, Sharaku, Hiroshige and Utamaro – and the individual colours reflect their characteristic palettes and atmosphere.

    The inks are made from safe raw materials and their colours were developed in consultation with a colour specialist in Japan. Stationery experts contributed to their development, and the inks are manufactured at Taccia’s factory in Japan. The result is an ink with balanced flow, subtle shading and an authentic character.

    The Ukiyo-e series is designed for anyone who wants writing to be an aesthetic and creative experience – whether journalling, writing letters, practising calligraphy or drawing with a fountain pen.
