The design Hiroshige – wisteria is based on Utagawa Hiroshige’s lyrical landscape woodblock prints, which depict nature in harmony with human surroundings. The delicate tones of wisteria, combined with the waterscape and architecture, feel calm, poetic and balanced. The letter set evokes the atmosphere of a quiet early evening and is ideal for thoughtful, personal correspondence.

    Product detailed description

    Taccia Ukiyo-e Letter Sets

The letter sets from Taccia Ukiyo-e combine traditional Japanese art with modern writing culture. They are inspired by famous Ukiyo-e woodblock prints from the Edo period, depicting everyday life, landscapes and the beauty of fleeting moments. Each design is based on works by renowned masters – Katsushika Hokusai, Toshusai Sharaku, Utagawa Hiroshige and Kitagawa Utamaro.

The sets are thoughtfully designed to create an emotional experience when opening a letter. Opening the delicately printed envelope reveals a full-colour reproduction of the original artwork on the writing paper or card, turning ordinary correspondence into a small ritual and a personal gesture.

The writing paper is printed with coloured lines spaced 10 mm apart, in a shade that matches the individual Ukiyo-e design. The ruling is subtle enough not to distract from the artwork or text, while providing comfortable guidance for writing.

All products in this series are made from Prime premium writing paper, which is suitable for fountain pens. The paper offers a smooth surface, good ink control and beautiful colour rendering. For a perfectly coordinated look, the sets can be paired with inks from Taccia Ukiyo-e.

Ukiyo-e stationery represents a symbol of Japanese culture and is ideal for everyday writing as well as an original gift or souvenir for lovers of art, paper and handwritten correspondence.
