TWSBI je tchajwanská značka psacích potřeb, která vznikla z výrobní společnosti Ta Shin Precision. Ta má více než 50 let zkušeností s výrobou plastových a kovových komponentů a dlouhodobě působila jako OEM výrobce pro řadu známých značek. Díky těmto zkušenostem dokáže TWSBI vytvářet precizní a kvalitní plnicí pera a další psací nástroje, které kombinují technickou přesnost s důrazem na radost z psaní a estetiku rukopisu.
Název TWSBI vychází z čínského „San Wen Tong“, což znamená „Síň tří kultur“. Tento název odkazuje jak na jazyk a kulturu, tak i na tradici čínské kaligrafie a slavnou Síň tří vzácných pokladů, věnovanou třem mistrovským dílům kaligrafie. Z iniciál „San Wen Tong“ vznikla záměnou písmen zkratka TWS, ke které bylo přidáno „Bi“, čínské slovo pro psací nástroje. Značka tak ve svém názvu spojuje technickou preciznost s kulturním odkazem psaného slova.
