This experiential InkBar ink mixing workshop offers space to slow down, playfully explore, and immerse yourself in the world of color. By combining individual shades, each participant creates their own unique ink that reflects their mood, personality, and current state of mind.
Creating here is not about correctness or results, but about the joy of the process – experimenting, intuition, and the surprise of newly formed color combinations. Each shade becomes a personal imprint of the moment and an original expression of creativity.

The workshop is a creative experience that nurtures imagination and an eye for detail. It is not an art class or a competition – what matters is the process, exploration, and the personal experience of mixing colors.
Workshop outline
The workshop takes place in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and includes these approximate stages:
Introduction and getting to know the InkBar
- welcome and introduction of the program
- brief overview of the history and theory of inks
- basic information about working with water-based inks
- recommendations for safe and effective work
Basics of color mixing
- explanation of the principles of mixing shades
- demonstration of preparing base colors
- tips on working with lightness and saturation
Creating your own shade
- mixing your first custom color
- gradually adding additional shades drop by drop
- continuous mixing and testing on paper using a glass dip pen
Fine-tuning and finishing the color
- option to adjust the shade with a colorless base (with regard to saturation)
- final adjustments according to your own feeling
- pouring the finished ink into a prepared 10 ml bottle
Closing sharing
- space to present your shade to others

Instructor Zlata
My name is Zlata Vavrušková and I am the founder of the kaš-mi-daš project. This project was born from my love of paper and everything connected with it. I believe that words are the foundation of everything we do, and therefore form always follows content. My greatest passion is ink – this ancient medium that has no boundaries in color or properties.
Where the workshop takes place
All workshops take place below deck in our kaš-mi-daš stationery universe. Beneath the stationery shop with café, we have a space where workshops and courses take place peacefully, even during opening hours. During the course, you can order a delicious drink from our café – these are always included in the price.
