RURI
A variation of the classic Hasami glaze, dark cobalt blue with a red undertone, is unique to our Koushun-gama kiln. The smooth glossy surface pairs perfectly with Kakimori ink bottles.
Ruri is a traditional glaze used on Arita and Hasami ware for centuries. The reddish-brown glaze reacts to the heat of the kiln, producing a beautiful cobalt blue.
