Pilot Custom Urushi is one of the most exceptional fountain pens in the Pilot collection. Its generous proportions, ebonite construction and traditional Japanese urushi lacquer combine precise engineering with skilled craftsmanship and a striking visual presence.

The barrel and cap are made from ebonite, a material valued for its durability, relatively low weight and pleasantly warm feel in the hand. The surface is finished with several layers of natural urushi lacquer, creating a deep lustre, rich colour and subtly organic character. Minor variations may occur as a natural result of the handcrafted process.

The defining feature of the pen is its exceptionally large size No. 30 18-carat gold nib. It is designed to provide a soft, smooth and naturally responsive writing experience that reacts sensitively to the movement of the hand. The FM nib produces a line between fine and medium, offering a balanced combination of precision and smoothness.

The pen fills with original Pilot ink cartridges or with bottled ink using a compatible converter. Its screw cap protects the nib and complements the classic, refined character of the model.
