Product detailed description
Taccia Ukiyo-e Inks
The Taccia Ukiyo-e ink series is inspired by traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints from the Edo period (17th–19th century). These artworks depicted everyday life, nature, beauty, and the fleeting nature of the moment—an aesthetic philosophy that Taccia brings into the world of fountain pen inks.

The colours used in Ukiyo-e prints are subtle, layered, and difficult to describe with a single word. Taccia Ukiyo-e inks faithfully reproduce these delicate tones, allowing writers and artists to rediscover them through writing and drawing. Each collection is named after a renowned Japanese artist—Hokusai, Sharaku, Hiroshige, and Utamaro—with colours reflecting their distinctive palettes and moods.
All inks are made from safe raw materials, with colours supervised by a colour consultant in Japan. Developed in collaboration with stationery experts and manufactured in Taccia’s Japanese factory, these inks offer balanced flow, subtle shading, and an authentic artistic character.
The Ukiyo-e series is designed for those who see writing as a creative and aesthetic experience—whether for journaling, correspondence, calligraphy, or drawing with fountain pens.
