Tom’s Studio archival pigment ink
Tom’s Studio No. 60 Pigment Black is an intense black pigment ink designed for writing, drawing and mixed-media work. Once dry, it produces a matte charcoal-black line that is lightfast and highly resistant to water.
The ink is particularly well suited to fine linework, sketching and illustrations that will later be combined with watercolour. Before applying a watercolour wash, allow the ink to dry completely for several hours. Very heavy and wet washes may cause slight movement even after drying, so testing the combination on the chosen paper is recommended.
As a pigment ink, it requires more regular care than standard dye-based inks. Always cap the pen securely and do not leave it filled and unused for extended periods. The manufacturer recommends rinsing the nib and feed system with clean water approximately once a week.
