piš-ko-láš Workshop

PISKOLAS

What happens when you stop trying to control the text for a moment and let it emerge on its own? The piš-ko-láš workshop combines automatic, free and psychosomatic writing and opens up space for your own themes, intuition and personal voice.

Over the course of two and a half hours, you will explore several approaches to writing that help bypass excessive control, aesthetic expectations and the need to “write correctly”. What matters is not literary performance, but the process itself, attention to what emerges, and the joy of writing with your favourite pen in your favourite notebook.

Who will guide you through the workshop

zuzu

Instructor Zuzu

Zuzana Jurechová has been studying and practising authorial creation based on a psychosomatic approach for ten years at the Department of Authorial Creativity and Pedagogy at DAMU in Prague, where her doctoral research focuses on the phenomenon of authorship.

In her workshops, she draws mainly on inspiration from two creative circles – the Surrealist circle around André Breton and the avant-garde circle around Ivan Vyskočil. She sees free and automatic writing as a playful and exciting path towards discovering her own themes and personal inner voice.

“I consider writing freely with a favourite pen in a favourite notebook to be one of the most beautiful activities.”

Zuzana divides her time between the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where she also develops her own authorial projects with a community dimension.

Where the workshop takes place

All our workshops take place below deck in our kaš-mi-daš stationery universe. Beneath our stationery shop and café, we have a dedicated space where workshops and courses can take place in peace even during regular opening hours. During the workshop, you can enjoy coffee or another non-alcoholic drink from our café, which is included in the price.
