October is once again all about ink! Inktober 2026 is here, and we at kaš-mi-daš are joining in again. This year, we’ve prepared not only our traditional weekly prizes, but also a special reward for everyone who completes at least 25 prompts.
Whether you draw every day, every few days, or simply choose the prompts from this year’s list that inspire you most, the main thing is simple: create, try something new, and enjoy an entire month with ink.
What is Inktober?
Inktober is an annual art challenge that takes place throughout October. It was created in 2009 by illustrator Jake Parker as a way to improve his ink drawing skills and build a regular creative habit.
What began as a personal challenge gradually grew into a worldwide project joined every year by illustrators, professional artists, and complete beginners alike.
The idea is simple: each day in October has its own theme – a prompt – to inspire your drawing.
You don’t have to complete all 31 prompts or follow them in exact order. You can draw every day, every other day, or perhaps just once a week. Inktober isn’t a competition for the best drawing. It’s mainly about consistency, creativity, and the joy of making.
How to join
- Choose one of the official Inktober 2026 prompts.
- Create a drawing – ideally using ink, drawing ink, a pen, or a brush pen, but feel free to experiment.
- Share your work on Instagram or Facebook.
- Tag @kasmidas and add the hashtags #kasmidasinktober, #inktober and #inktober2026.
- Then move on to the next drawing. How many you complete is entirely up to you.
Win ink every week
Just like last year, we’ll be following your creations throughout October and choosing one artist every week to receive a prize.
The winner will receive a 30 ml bottle of kaš-mi-daš ink of their choice.
You don’t need to be a professional illustrator or have years of drawing experience. We’re interested in the idea, the way you approach the prompt, the joy of creating – and even the courage to try something completely new.
Special reward for the persistent: complete at least 25 prompts!
This year, we’re adding one more challenge.
Everyone who creates at least 25 drawings based on the official Inktober 2026 prompts and shares their work according to our challenge rules will receive a voucher to mix their own ink at our InkBar, worth CZK 490.
Yes, really – everyone who completes at least 25 out of 31 prompts.
At the InkBar, you can then create your own custom ink shade exactly to your liking – and perhaps use it to start your next drawing challenge.
Why try Inktober?
You don’t have to be great at drawing. Quite the opposite. Inktober is a great opportunity to:
- find a little time to create every day,
- try ink, drawing ink, a fountain pen, dip pen, or brush pen,
- stop being afraid of the blank page,
- experiment with new techniques,
- see how your drawings change over the course of a single month,
- and discover the work of other creators from around the world.
One word can have hundreds of different interpretations. And that may be the very best thing about Inktober.

Each day from October 1 to 31, 2026 has its own official prompt.
Treat the list mainly as inspiration. If a prompt doesn’t work for you, skip it, change the order, or adapt the challenge to suit you. The most important thing is to create.
