The September edition of our Ink of the Month series is Limited Edition – After school in the clubroom.
An ink inspired by those hours after school when it was easy to lose track of time in the high school darkroom. A shade of nostalgia, blending the colours of film and memory.
The story behind the colour
After school in the clubroom takes us back to a high school darkroom – a place where, after classes had ended, it was easy to lose track of time.
Its dark, muted colour evokes the atmosphere of analogue photography: the dimly lit room, photographic film, developing solutions and an image slowly appearing before your eyes.
Kakimori describes it as a shade of nostalgia, blending the colours of film and memory. It captures a moment long since passed, yet one whose atmosphere remains remarkably vivid.
Curated by Kakimori
After school in the clubroom belongs to the Colour specimen series – a collection inspired by encounters with colour in everyday moments.
- selected and created by the Kakimori team,
- inspired by a particular moment and memory,
- created as a seasonal, one-time edition,
- available only in limited quantities.
Colour specimen shows how a memorable colour can emerge from an ordinary moment – even an afternoon spent in the photography club after school.
