A small piece of paper can become a tiny piece of jewellery. In this origami earrings workshop, you will learn the basic principles of paper folding and gradually create your own pair of lightweight, original earrings.
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners. It is not about speed or perfection – the focus is on enjoying the process, slowing down and discovering what a few precise folds can create. You will start with a larger practice model and gradually move on to miniature origami, where you will also use tweezers.

How the workshop works
The workshop takes place in a relaxed atmosphere and guides you step by step from the basic principles of origami to a finished pair of earrings.
Introduction to origami

First folding exercise
You will first practise the basic motif and individual folds on a larger format. This allows you to become familiar with the process before moving on to the miniature version.
Folding with tweezers
In the next part, you will apply the same principles on a smaller scale. Tweezers will help you guide the folds more precisely and work comfortably with tiny pieces of paper.
Making the earrings
You will fold your chosen motif from a piece of paper measuring approximately 5 × 5 cm. The finished origami will then be attached to jewellery pins and surgical steel hooks. At the end of the workshop, you will take home your own finished pair of origami earrings.
Who will guide you through the workshop
Instructor Zbyněk Roubal
Zbyněk Roubal has been folding origami for pleasure for many years. For him, paper offers a space to relax – with just a few folds, a simple square gradually turns into something completely new.
He especially enjoys miniature origami, and it is precisely this experience with small formats that he shares during the workshop. He will guide participants through the process step by step, help with the precision of individual folds and, above all, show how to enjoy the whole process.
Where the workshop takes place
All our workshops take place below deck in our kaš-mi-daš stationery universe. Beneath our stationery shop and café, we have a dedicated space where workshops and courses can take place in peace, even during regular opening hours. During the workshop, you can enjoy coffee or another non-alcoholic drink from our café, which is included in the price.
